Queen of Hearts Hydrangea
‘Queen of Hearts’ was developed from the 1998 hybridization of Oakleaf cultivars ‘Snow Queen’ and ‘Pee Wee’. In early Summer, ‘Queen of Hearts’ produces an over-abundance of large, 9″, white. upright inflorescences.
Flowers appear approximately 7 to 10 days later than standard Oakleaf varieties and slowly age to a deep pink. Inflorescences remain attractive after other varieties have faded. New leaves are a dark green, aging to a rustic, mahogany-red. Prefers full to partial sun, well drained, humitic soil, and regular water.
Pollinator friendly.
